How We Work

Services provided by Sociocultural Analytics can be as limited as providing short-term expert advice for a client, or as extensive as working with the client as a partner in their longer-term projects over the course of months or years. We can provide end-to-end services depending on the nature of the particular task or project. Because we get involved in challenging projects and are a small firm, we can tailor the nature of our involvement to each client’s needs. In some cases a detailed plan, scope of work, and timeline are necessary. In other cases extensive detail is not needed, or the specifics of the plan may evolve as the project unfolds.

We are sensitive to task deadlines and do our best to not commit to deadlines that we cannot meet. We are committed to clear, consistent, and frequent communication with the client and, if appropriate, other project stakeholders. We find this to be essential in assisting clients with complex projects. Since we are a small firm and only draw on expertise beyond that of our three directors when needed, our overhead costs are low compared with many other consulting firms. This is reflected, in turn, in the minimal overhead percentage we charge in addition to our consulting fees and expenses.

Our Ethics

Honesty

We will never deliberately mislead or provide advice that is false to a client. We will be as candid as possible, openly and freely sharing information as appropriate to the consultant-client relationship.

Commitment-Keeping

We will go to great lengths to keep our commitments to our clients and will not make commitments that we cannot fulfill. Should circumstances lead to a need to modify deadlines or other project plans, we will communicate this as quickly and clearly as possible, with a full explanation for the needed changes.

Respect for Others

We will be open and direct in our communication with our clients, who we view as our partners. We will be receptive to our client’s knowledge, understandings, and opinions regarding the project. This, plus our expertise, is the basis for providing our best advice and services, and for building a working relationship.

Non-Discrimination

We will not provide advice or other services that intentionally or unintentionally negatively discriminate against others on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, economic status, or gender/sexual orientation.

Compassion

We will maintain an awareness of the needs of others we work with and will act to meet those needs whenever possible. We will also minimize harm to others to the best of our ability. We will act in ways consistent with our social responsibility to the client, to the stakeholders, and to the end users of the project.

Integrity

We will live up to our ethical standards, even when confronted by personal, professional, and social risks, as well as economic pressures.

Economic Equity

We will adjust our fee structure, at our discretion, to take account of our client’s economic circumstances.
